Prince William’s internal fight for the survival of the Firm: Expert explains it all
There is a real reason why some call Prince William the only royal who understands reputations damage and here’s why
There are a number of reasons Prince William is being weighed separately, despite the Firm being embroiled in issues like cash for honors or the woes that are currently circling Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and by extension the King.
The reason has been explained by royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams who just had a chat with New Idea.
According to the author, “He understands how quickly public opinion can shift and how important trust has become.” More so because “future monarchs simply cannot afford to ignore reputational damage.”
At least to the author, this is due to the fact that William has grown up during a period when “every royal action is scrutinized” that too “in real time”.
In respect to this he also said, “the institution comes first. That has always been understood within the monarchy, but William perhaps embodies that principle more strongly than any royal of his generation.”
In an effort to laud the Wales’ he also said that the couple operates as a “remarkably” effective team.
Before concluding she also says, “they understand the importance of remaining relevant to modern audiences while preserving the traditions that make the monarchy unique.”
