Elderly man mauled by 'large' dog as police hunt blonde owner
Police are urging the public to help in finding the dog owner
A blonde dog owner is at large after her 'large' dog injured an elderly man in a horrific attack in Essex.
The man, who is in his 70s, was going for an early morning walk, cops say, when the attack occurred at the junction of Sawyers Hall Lane and Highland Avenue in Brentwood on April 18.
Essex Police, in a statement, said, “The dog was described as large, light brown, and with a flat nose."
"The dog’s owner is described as a woman in her 50s, around 5 ft 7 in tall, with blonde hair tied up in a ponytail."
“She’s described as wearing a long, green, trench coat-style coat and had two large brown/gray ‘shaggy’ dogs with her. She was last seen heading up Highland Avenue.”
A fatal mistake
Over 300 km away, Alicia Atkinson nearly lost her dog after she ate a corn cob she threw in a bin.
"It was the first time this year we'd had some decent weather, so we'd had a BBQ," she told The Mirror.
"When we came downstairs, we noticed the dogs had been in the bin," she said.
"But it was a pack of four corn on the cob, so I was like, 'Where are the other three?'"
Both of her dogs became sick. Then, her cocker spaniel, named Ted, health became worse.
"I never in a million years thought there was corn on the cob still inside [Ted]. I thought he was just ill."
Atkinson, in the end, paid a £5,000 bill to save the life of his beloved pet.
