At the advanced screening of his new movie, Power Ballad, the actor opened up about working as a DJ before he became a Hollywood star.

Rudd said, "I was in school. I could work on the weekends — Bat mitzvahs and weddings and birthdays. I did that for about a year."

Adding, "If I wanted the kids to get out there, I knew that 'Can't Touch This' (by MC Hammer) was a big one."

Rudd noted further, "But if I wanted the grandparents to dance — Glenn Miller."

It is pertinent to mention that Paul Rudd has talked about working odd jobs in 90s previously. He shared in 2025 about starring in a Nintendo commercial in 1991.

The MCU star said, "I didn't really feel so famous."

"I was a working actor and I still had a regular job when I was doing [the] commercial," he added. "And then as it slowly started to — as I started getting more work — occasionally someone would say, 'Hey, Clueless!,' or whatever."

Furthermore, the Ant-Man actor also noted, "And, you know, I think just the very nature of the time when there was no social media, there was no internet — everything just went by just a little bit slower."

Now, Paul Rudd stars in Power Ballad alongside Nick Jonas. The project is set to release on May 29, 2026.
