Prince Harry pushes for private Balmoral meeting with King Charles this summer
Prince Harry ‘desperate’ for Balmoral reunion with King Charles amid peace hopes
Prince Harry is reportedly eager to use this summer’s Europe trip as an opportunity to reconnect with the Royal family, particularly his cancer-stricken father King Charles.
According to Closer Magazine, the Duke of Sussex wants to stay at Balmoral amid his hopes for a long-awaited meeting with the monarch.
An insider told the publication that Harry believes a quiet family stay in Scotland could help rebuild fractured relationships and finally open the door to reconciliation.
“Harry and Meghan are expected to spend over a month in Europe this summer, using their newly completed villa in Portugal as a base while travelling back and forth for engagements and private visits,” the source said.
They added, “The family are understood to be flying over shortly after Archie and Lilibet finish school in June.”
“Harry is pushing hard for a family stay at Balmoral this summer while he and Meghan are based in Europe, with hopes of arranging a private meeting with King Charles. He’s determined to make it happen.
“Harry genuinely believes Balmoral could be the place where things finally start healing,” the source shared.
However, the idea is creating tension behind the scenes, as Meghan Markle remains uneasy about returning to UK with their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, due to ongoing security concerns.
“But Meghan still doesn’t feel fully comfortable in Britain. That hasn’t changed. The security concerns are very real to her, especially with the children involved,” the source noted.
“The situation is said to be causing strain between the couple.”
