Savannah Guthrie fans demand FBI to open investigation on Sheriff Nanos in Nancy Guthrie kidnapping case

US TV anchor Savannah Guthrie fans have demanded that FBI should open an investigation on Sheriff Nanos as search for her mother Nancy continues in the fourth month.

FBI Director Kash Patel and Sheriff Chris Nanos have traded barbs over the timing of when the bureau was asked to assist in Nancy kidnapping case.

Federal authorities have said it was days before they were brought in, and before they arrived, the crime scene had been briefly released, allowing journalists and delivery drivers to walk up on the front porch, where there was a trail of blood spatter.

Commenting on the Fox News Digital report, one fan of Savannah demanded, “FBI should open an investigation on Sheriff Nanos. He very clearly acted to obstruct the FBI in multiple ways. You can't explain the things he did as accidents... they were deliberate actions to prevent the FBI from getting any information in the critical moments when it mattered. Whether it was politics, cartel ties, or just plain ineptitude, it's clear Nanos obstructed this case.”

Another said, “The sheriff was playing politics and not working for his citizens,” adding “I have 35 years wearing a badge and have worked a few cases with the feds. My job was to find the missing child and not play politics. Find the missing and prosecute the offenders, that is the job. Use all the resources available, failure to do so is criminally negligent.”

“The family should sue for negligence. Unfortunately this happens more than you think. Small counties just are not equipped for cases like murder and kidnapping,” the third advised.
