Cristiano Ronaldo and João Félix score firing Al Nassr past Al Shabab in Saudi Pro League clash
Ronaldo restored the home side’s two-goal lead in the second half before Ali Al-Bulayhi scored again for Al Shabab to create late tension
João Félix scored a hat trick while Cristiano Ronaldo added another goal as Al Nassr defeated Al Shabab 4-2 on Thursday to strengthen their position at the top of the Saudi Pro League.
Félix struck twice inside the opening 10 minutes to give Al Nassr an early advantage. Yannick Carrasco pulled one back for Al Shabab before half-time to make it 2-1 at the break.
Ronaldo restored the home side’s two-goal lead in the second half before Ali Al-Bulayhi scored again for Al Shabab to create late tension.
Felix completed his hat trick from the penalty spot to seal the victory and move Al Nassr onto 82 points from 32 matches.
The result leaves Al Nassr five points ahead of Al Hilal, although their rivals still have a game in hand. The two sides are set to meet on 12 May in a potentially decisive title clash.
Ronaldo’s goal also took his career tally to 971 goals for club and country, including 26 this season for Al Nassr.
The Portuguese star is still chasing his first major trophy since joining the Saudi club in 2023.
