Piers Morgan reacts to Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni legal settlement
Blake Lively unexpectedly appeared at the Met Gala in New York
Outspoken journalist Piers Morgan has reacted to Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni settlement to end lengthy legal battle, calling it “Utter humiliation.”
The TMZ took to X and shared “Exclusive: Blake Lively went in like a lion when she sued Justin Baldoni, but she went out like a lamb ... because TMZ has learned she got no money in the settlement.”
Commenting on it, Piers Morgan said “Wow.. so Ms Lively got no money and no apology. Utter humiliation, and entirely self-inflicted.”
Morgan further said “A monumental ego writing diva-cheques nobody wanted to cash.”
Lively and "It Ends with Us" co-star Justin Baldoni on Monday settled their acrimonious years-long legal battle, avoiding a costly civil trial.
In a joint statement it was confirmed the parties had resolved their dispute -- launched after Lively accused Baldoni of inappropriate on-set behavior -- without disclosing any settlement figure.
Hours after the announcement that the case was settled, Lively was all smiles as she unexpectedly appeared at the Met Gala in New York in a full ball gown that erupted in a cloud of pink, purple and yellow tulle.
Baldoni and the studio Wayfarer had previously countersued Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds with claims of extortion and defamation -- but a judge dismissed those claims last year.
