King Charles is lauded for using his soft skills to prevent UK-US relationship strain
King Charles has seemingly softened relationships between US and the UK with his latest visit.
His majesty, who has used his soft power skills to charm President Donald Trump, has worked in the favour of UK behind-the-scenes.
Speaking about his Majesty’s highly successful tour, Royal expert Emily Ferguson rights for express: “If early indications are anything to go by, those eagerly watching at home should be quietly optimistic that the King will be able to repair the extremely strained special relationship - but for how long? The President couldn’t have looked happier reuniting with the King on the White House lawn
Speaking about Trump’s praise for His Majesty, the expert added: “It was quite the high praise given the President’s belittling comments about the UK Prime Minister and British military in recent months. But just two days into the most diplomatically sensitive state visit the King has ever undertaken, it appears Mr Trump has softened his stance towards the
UK.
“And the warmth the President has for the monarch was so clearly shared by the members of the House and the Senate who leapt out of their seats to applaud the King throughout his address,” she noted.
