King Charles looking into ‘complexities’ ahead of US visit
King Charles is optimistic over covering more ground ahead of trip to the United States
King Charles is reportedly looking forward to his trip to United States this month.
His majesty, who is set to visit President Donald Trump at the White House, is hoping to cover some ground on political front.
A palace source told The Times: “We’re optimistic about the visit while acknowledging the complexities and challenges that it presents. But overall, Their Majesties are excited about a programme that celebrates the connection between two nations and two peoples.”
Meanwhile, Trump earlier told Reuters: “I’m going to talk about everything.
This comes as expert Allison Pearson tells Telegraph: “The King, who, let us not forget, has cancer, will very soon be making an actual, non-quasi state visit to Washington DC. “
“An engagement which will require all his skills of diplomacy and good humour as he meets a president who has been loudly trumpeting Britain’s cowardly irrelevance(not entirely without provocation).
She noted: “Plus, there will be unfair pressure for poor Charles to meet victims of Jeffrey Epsteinon account of the disgraced Andrew – like Harry, another exiled second son. Spares are a bloody liability.”
