Combined with fabricated post, the misleading content was convincing enough to be widely shared online.

It is pertinent to mention that there was no confirmation from Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco, or any credible media outlet.

In fact, the Only Murders in the Building actress painted a different picture. She recently posted a glimpse into her life with the caption, "Mrs. Blanco," strongly indicating that the couple is still together.

Gomez and Blanco tied the knot in September 2025. When the couple posted their wedding pictures, netizens shared their love with one stating, "This isn’t just a celebrity wedding, it’s a power merger."

Another added, "No way… Selena Gomez really went from being the most overanalyzed love life in Hollywood to marrying Benny Blanco. Half the internet swore this was just a “phase,” and now it’s permanent."

On the other hand Gomez has also talked about her relationship with Blanco, previously stating, "I think in the past, that’s why I said to him all the time 10 years ago it’s not that I wouldn’t have wanted to be with you."
