Justin Bieber breaks his own record on Spotify after Coachella shocker
Justin Bieber is riding on the success of back-to-back Coachella performances
Justin Bieber, it seems, is on top of the music world again after his back-to-back hit weekends at Coachella.
A proof of his success is the streams of his tracks on platforms.
Crushing his own records, the Baby hitmaker for the first time soared to 125 million monthly listeners on Spotify, making him the fourth artist to do so.
These figures shine a light on the resurgence of the Grammy winner's music catalogue, which includes Stay and Beauty and a Beat.
Not to mention, 20 old tracks are returning to global charts. But there is another milestone, which the 32-year-old pulled off.
He drew in jaw-dropping 100 million-plus streams in a single day on April 15.
Doing so, his shocking surge in streaming pushed his ranking to second globally, a spot behind Bruno Mars.
But the Canadian singer has left Mars a long way behind on Spotify's most-streamed artists of all time list, where he ranks at #7 and the latter at #14.
Coachella organisers fined for Justin Bieber performance
Organisers of Coachella set up a rocking festival in the desert, particularly the part where Justin Bieber hit the stage.
However, they were fined for violating a city of Indio rule on time limits.
Explaining the rule is simple: by 1 a.m., the performances must end, which is set for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at midnight.
Bieber, however, violated the rule by just over 2 minutes, getting a $20,000 hit to the wallet.
