Meghan Markle ‘disgusting’ move on Queen Elizabeth II birthday gets flak
Meghan Markle is called out for stealing the Spotlight on Queen Elizabeth’s birthday.
The Duchess of Sussex, who dropped two new candles in honour of her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, is accused of disrespecting late Her Majesty hours ahead of what would be her 100th birthday.
In a message on the As Ever Instagram page read: “Introducing two new candles beautifully crafted by our founder and named in honour of her children’s birthdates.
“No. 604 named for Princess Lilibet’s birthdate, is floral and radiant with notes of amber, water lily, and santal.
“No.506, named for Prince Archie’s birthdate, is warm and grounding with notes of ginger, neroli, and cashmere.”
Calling out Meghan for her actions, one user wrote on Reddit: “As ever, merching the kiddos on the late Queen's 100th birthday. Utterly disgusting.”
Another one agreed: “It is 100% about trolling the [Royal Family] on [the late Queen’s] 100th birthday. She doesn’t care if she sells a single candle.”
A third one continued: “Remove the titles and let's see how she promotes her products after the titles are removed.”
