Prince William, King Charles differ on approach to Beatrice, Eugenie
Prince William frustrated after King Charles invites Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie to Royal Ascot
Prince William is reportedly frustrated over what he sees as mixed signals within the royal family.
According to a latest report, the Prince of Wales and King Charles are not on the same page when it comes to taking decision about Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
A source has revealed that William was not happy after Charles invited his disgraced brother Andrew’s daughters to Royal Ascot.
William had supported keeping the sisters at a distance due to ongoing scrutiny surrounding their parents, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, and believes a stricter approach is important for the monarchy’s future image.
Now, a source told Examiner, “William is fuming and saying Charles has made him look terrible by changing his mind on this.”
“It’s no secret it was William that pushed for them to be banned from the Royal Ascot in the first place,” they added.
Previously, a source said, “In his view, it’s crucial to the future of the monarchy that they are seen to be taking a very hard stance on the Yorks and letting Beatrice and Eugenie continue to be associated with them publicly sends the wrong message.”
“He’s already angry about the way Charles let things with Andrew drag on for so long, and he says he’s making the same mistake all over again with Beatrice and Eugenie.”
