Ghost's Tobias Forge makes big announcement after concluding 'Skeletour World' tour
Tobias Forge shares two kids, Morris and Minou, with his wife Boel
Tobias Forge has announced that he's taking a break from music.
During an appearance on the Full Metal Jackie radio show on Friday, the frontman of the Swedish rock band Ghost revealed that he's taking a hiatus from the band because he “needs to be home” with his kids.
“I’ve had two kids waiting at home with my wife for 15 years, and maybe that says something about me that it wasn’t a pushing enough factor during those years," said Tobias, who has two kids, Morris and Minou, with his wife Boel.
“Believe me, I have felt bad. But I’ve definitely come to a point where I feel, physically and mentally, a need to be home. Simply because they’re 17, they’re not gonna be around for an eon," continued the musician.
Tobias added that the break will help him determine the future of the Swedish band.
“The only way for me to come up with a new idea and get some new inspiration is to just step away. It is as simple as that. But it doesn’t mean that I’m not doing anything. I have two film projects that I’m working on,” he said.
For those unversed, Ghost wrapped its Skeletour World Tour on Friday, February 23.
