Prince William may force King Charles to reject Harry's invite?
“The future of the monarchy lies with the Waleses [Prince William and Kate Middleton] and their family"
King Charles may reject his estranged son Prince Harry’s invite to join him for Invictus Games 2027 due to his elder son Prince William.
Speaking to the Daily Express UK, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams has claimed Prince William could be the one reason King Charles may reject Harry’s invitation.
The royal expert said Prince William, the future king, would be unlikely to approve of the situation, especially as Harry has criticised the Royal Family a number of times.
Fitzwilliams said: “The future of the monarchy lies with the Waleses and their family.
“The brothers (William and Harry) have reportedly not spoken in over three years.”
“It is unlikely the King, who is undoubtedly keen on some sort of reconciliation with Harry and to see his grandchildren, whom he last saw during the celebrations of Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee, (which was the last time they were in the UK would act in a way William strongly opposed.”
Meanwhile, another royal expert Angela Levin believes Prince Harry has put King Charles in a difficult situation.
“I think he has put his father in a difficult situation, especially if Meghan is around,” Angela, who is a major critic of Meghan and Harry says in her substack.
Angela, however, says some people think Prince Harry’s gesture of inviting the King is an ideal way of ‘repairing their relationship’.
