Late Rob Reiner gets rich tribute at Critics Choice Awards

Last year, Rob Reiner, a well-known filmmaker, suffered a tragic death, which shocked many in the industry. Now, during the Critics' Choice Awards, the host, Chelsea Handler, takes a moment to pay a tribute to him.
“Anyone who ever spent time with Rob Reiner knows that the minute you met him, he felt like an old friend,” she says, adding, “When you were in a conversation with him, he was present and he was focused and he was funny, and he would ask you tons of questions, whether you were discussing politics or film or the latest beauty trends, he was all in."
Moreover, the comedian adds that the late director is known for his decency, regardless of whether he had any differences, whether personal or political, with any other person.
“Rob and Michele were tireless in their efforts to so many important causes, all stemming from one basic idea: decency," she adds.
“That we should all look out for each other, and I think we can all agree that we definitely need more of that. So let’s use tonight as a reminder of that decency and a reminder of everything Rob and Michele stood for," the 50-year-old notes.
Rob and Michele, who were murdered in their home in Brentwood, California, on December 14. The couple's youngest son, Nick, has been accused of killing them, as he has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
