Jennifer Lopez finalized her divorce from Ben Affleck in January 2025 after two years of marriage
Jennifer Lopez has finally revealed what she's looking for in her next boyfriend after a string of failed high-profile romances.
While performing her 1999 hit If You Had My Love at her Las Vegas show on Saturday, January 3, the 56-year-old singer recalled how her understanding of love and self-worth has evolved.
“When I first sang it, I was very young,” she told the audience. “And I sang it with a lot of hope.”
“But I’ve also sang it over the years, I’ve sang it while I was sad,” continued Jennifer. “And I’ve sang it when I was happy. But now, today, you know how I sing it? I sing it in power.”
“Because the truth is, if you wanted to have my love, you would have to earn it," added the Atlas actress.
Jennifer further told the crowd that her next boyfriend needs to accept her for who she is and respect her.
“You would have to treat me right. You would have to respect me," she said. “You’d have to accept me for all that I am."
"You’d have to love me if you wanted my love," the On the Floor hitmaker further said.
“It’s over and we just, boom, and it’s fine. It’s all good,” added the pop sensation “The good news is that I’m learning and I’m growing. We’re in our happy era right now.”
For those unversed, Jennifer has been married four times.
