Katie Holmes worries pals by rekindling flames with 'unserious ex'

Dawson’s Creek costars Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson seem to have rekindled their romance.

Katie and Joshua were a favourite onscreen couple in the ’90s teen drama and also dated in real life.

Now, the duo have reuinted to costar in a romcon trilogy titled Happy Hours, where they play childhood sweethearts who reconnect. The duo have sparked romance rumors with their cozy outings.

However, according to insiders, there’s nothing serious going on.

"Katie says spending time with Josh makes her feel alive again and she doesn’t want to shut that down just because she can’t possess him," a source told the National Enquirer.

"Josh has always been upfront about what he is doing. He’s told her he’s not ready to be committed so it’s not like he’s sneaking around," continued the insider. "Katie says she can respect that. Fact is, she’s not had any romance in her life in a long time."

"She insists she’s strong enough to handle whatever happens, but that hasn’t stopped her friends from worrying — it’s obvious she’s playing with fire," they added.

Katie was previously married to Tom Cruise and shares daughter Suri with him. Johsua Jackson shares daughter Juno Rose Diana Jackson, with his ex-wife, actress Jodie Turner-Smith.
