Kevin Spacey's darkest moments: A look inside the actor’s life post-controversy

Kevin Spacey has broken silence on his deplorable living conditions seven years after he faced s*x assault allegations.
For those unaware, in 2017, Anthony Rapp, the acclaimed American actor and singer, accused Spacey of making a s*xual advance towards him while being intoxicated at a party in 1986.
Spacey was 27-year-old while Rapp was 14-year-old at that time and he started facing multiple allegations of s*xual misconduct shortly after.
Notably, the American actor, now 66, did not deny the serious accusations; rather, he took to X (previously Twitter) and claimed that he did not recall the encounter but offered Rapp "the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior" if he had behaved as alleged.
Things did not settle there, as Rapp sued the Baby Driver star for s*xual battery, s*xual assault, and intentional infliction of emotional distress under the Child Victims Act on September 9, 2020. However, after subsequent federal civil court proceedings, “a jury did not find him liable on all counts,” whereas, Rapp was ordered to pay Spacey “$39,089 for the costs of litigation.”
According to Radar Online, Spacey claimed that he does not even have a house to live in after his years-long battle against several malicious allegations.
He revealed that his Maryland condo was sold in a foreclosure auction in 2024. "I've had very little coming in and everything going out. I'm living in hotels, I'm living in Airbnbs. I literally have no home."
The allegations did serious damage to his career, as Netflix also fired him from its hit show House of Cards in late 2017.
“Everything is in storage, and I hope at some point, if things continue to improve, that I'll be able to decide where I want to settle down again," The Negotiator alum revealed, hoping for better days to come.
Despite enduring the darkest moments of his life, Spacey is determined to revive his career in Hollywood.
"We are in touch with some extremely powerful people who want to put me back to work. But I will also say what I think the industry seems to be waiting for is to be given permission by someone who is in some position of enormous respect and authority,” he stated.
