Millie Bobby Brown reveals how plastic surgery rumours impacted her mental health
Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown got emotional recalling the impact of plastic surgery rumours on her mental health.
During the Electric State press tour in March 2025, the 21-year-old star was trolled for getting plastic surgery and looking older than her age.
Although she denied the speculations at the time, it had a serious impact on his mental health.
Speaking to British Vogue, Millie said “I was depressed for three, four days. I was crying every day. ‘Oh my God, what has she done with her face? Why has she gone blonde? She looks 60 years old!’ I respect journalism."
She further said, "I love reading articles on my favorite people and hearing what they’re up to.”
“I understand that there’s paparazzi, even though it’s invasive, even though it feels like sh-t to me, I know that’s your job. But don’t, in your headline, slam me at the get-go," Millie continued.
The Damsel star added, "It is so wrong and it is bullying, especially to young girls who are new to this industry and are already questioning everything about it.”
Concluding the conversation, Millie stated, “For some reason people can’t seem to grow up with me. Instead, they act like I’m supposed to stay frozen in time… And because I don’t, I’m now a target.”
For those unversed, Millie is currently busy promoting the last season of Stranger Things.
Volume 3 of the hit series is set to release on Netflix on December 31, 2025.
