Nick Reiner's former teacher breaks silence on Rob Reiner, Michele's murder

Nick Reiner's former yoga instructor Alanna Zabel has opened up about Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner following their death.

Speaking with People Magazine, Alanna, who taught Rob, Michele and their children yoga in private lessons, shared that the late couple was "incredibly passionate, all-in parents doing their best." She noted that their deaths were "shocking."

Moreover, the wellness expert shared that Nick was "notorious" for making sessions with her mother difficult.

"We never could get through one single yoga session without Nicky barging in and having an intense issue or meltdown, and it would really break up the flow of a yoga class," she said.

Following years of group lessons, Alanna was asked to teach Nick "privately."

"which I started to do, to help him to calm down and channel his energy," she recalled.

Sharing about Nick's childhood, Alanna calls it "a perfect storm… one of those things where, as hard as they tried to manage it, get help, address it, it's just beyond any of us to be able to diffuse."

As per Alanna, Michele Singer was "very passionate" mother. "She lived for those kids… She was just very gracious and lovely," she said.

This comes as Nick Reiner has been arrested for Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner's murder on December 14, 2025.
