Bruce Springsteen's sister Virginia is portrayed in 'Deliver Me from Nowhere'
Bruce Springsteen’s sister had a comment to make after watching his biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere.
The movie, which stars Jeremy Allen White as the Springsteen and follows the creation of his 1982 album Nebraska, will soon be available to stream digitally. The digital release will include a documentary of behind-the-scenes moments and commentary from cast and crew.
The singer’s younger sister Virginia is played by child actress Arabella Olivia Clark in the biopic.
The legendary rock musician revealed what she thought of the film after watching the film when it was screened.
"My sister, who's a year younger than me, she held my hand during the whole screening,' " Bruce said in a clip from the documentary, obtained by People. "The first thing she said to me when the credits came up was: 'Isn't it wonderful we have this representation of our family and our family life and our family struggles on film?' It really is.' "
The movie also features the singer’s upbringing by his parents Adele (played by Gaby Hoffman) and Douglas (Stephen Graham).
Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere also stars Paul Walter Hauser, Odessa Young, David Krumholtz, Grace Gummer and Marc Maron, among others. The film will be available digitally on December 23.
