Princess Diana's relative Duke of Marlborough charged with intentional strangulation

Princess Diana’s relative, the Duke of Marlborough, formerly known as Jamie Blandford, has been charged with intentional strangulation.
Charles James Spencer-Churchill is also a relative of Winston Churchill.
Royal expert Emily Ferguson took to X, formerly Twitter handle, and tweeted,“NEW: The Duke of Marlborough, formerly known as Jamie Blandford, has been charged with intentional strangulation.
“He is accused of three offences between Nov 2022 and May 2024 and is summoned to appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court on Thursday following his arrest in May.”
Meanwhile, according to the Daily Star, the charges of non-fatal intentional strangulation are alleged to have occurred in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, against the same individual.
He is the 12th Duke of Marlborough and belongs to one of Britain's most prestigious families.
The outlet further claimed the Duke of Marlborough has publicly battled drug addiction in the past.
It further says he is distantly related to Prince William and Harry’s mother Diana through the Spencer line, inherited his dukedom in 2014 after the death of his father, the 11th Duke of Marlborough.
His ancestral home is Blenheim Palace, the 300-year-old estate where Churchill was born, in Woodstock.
As per the Daily Mail, Blenheim Palace is owned and managed by the Blenheim Palace Heritage Foundation.
The spokesperson for the foundation said: “Blenheim Palace Heritage Foundation is aware legal proceedings have been brought against the Duke of Marlborough.”
