Peter Andre discloses strict rule for his youngest children
Andre shares 11-year-old Amelia, nine-year-old Theodore, and eight-month-old Arabella with his wife Emily and two older kids with Katie Price
Peter Andre is opening up about the strict parenting rule he follows for his youngest children amid social media risks and online exposure.
The 52-year-old singer, who shares Amelia, 11, Theodore, nine, and eight-month-old Arabella with his wife Emily, 36, told new! magazine his approach is shaped by lessons learned from raising his older children, Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, with ex Katie Price.
"When people ask me if it's a contradiction that I've had my kids on social media, we have to remember that when social media first started, we were all new to it," he told the outlet.
He added, "I didn’t know the pitfalls of social media when my eldest were younger. Now, we’re seeing what AI can do; that’s why our youngest children are not on it."
He also praised Australia’s recent law restricting social media use for children under 16. "I fully support Australia’s ban for under-16s. The dangers are so real. I hope the rest of the world catches on. It will do them so much good.”
Despite Junior and Princess growing up in the spotlight, Andre says he and his wife Emily rarely show their younger kids' faces in photos.
Andre also stressed the need to guide young people online to avoid long-term problems.
