Ice Cube drops bombshell about his cameo in 'Anaconda' remake
Ice Cube talks about his surprise appearance in the forthcoming movie 'Anaconda'
Ice Cube, whose real name is O'Shea Jackson Sr., recently got candid and admitted that he “jumped” at the chance to appear in the Anaconda remake.
For those unaware, the 56-year-old American rapper, songwriter, actor, and film producer played the role of Danny Rich in the 1997 original horror action movie.
It also starred Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, Jon Voight, Danny Trejo, and other notable artists.
On Saturday, December 13, Cube attended the Los Angeles premiere of a comedic new take on the Anaconda franchise 28 years after the original movie.
Reflecting on his unexpected appearance in the forthcoming movie, he confessed, "It's cool to do a cameo, to kind of make it go full circle in a way."
"When they asked me to do it, when I knew the kind of movie they were doing, I jumped at it, I'm like, 'This is something different. It’s cool,’” the Straight Outta Compton star revealed.
"People probably get a kick out of me popping on the screen,” Cube noted.
As per the synopsis, the upcoming Anaconda movie stars Paul Rudd and Jack Black as lifelong friends who have "always dreamed of remaking their all-time favorite movie: the cinematic 'classic,' Anaconda.”
It is pertinent to mention that the new Anaconda is scheduled to be released on Thursday, December 25, 2025.
