Taylor Momsen gets honest about her reunion with 'Grinch' costar Jim Carrey after 25 years
Taylor Momsen and Jim Carrey worked together in 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas'
Taylor Momsen is reflecting on her reunion with her How the Grinch Stole Christmas co-star Jim Carrey.
For those unaware, the 32-year-old American singer-songwriter and guitarist was five years old when she played the role of Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 comedy film opposite Carrey’s Grinch.
On Friday, December 5, Momsen conversed with PEOPLE magazine at iHeartRadio 102.7 KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball, where she opened up about reuniting with the 63-year-old Canadian-American actor and comedian at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on November 8, 2025.
At the ceremony, she performed with Soundgarden after The Mask star introduced the band.
Calling to mind her meetup with Carrey, the Gossip Girl star said, “The entire experience was absolutely insane, kismet, universally aligned, mind-blowing and amazing.”
“Just seeing him again was the most wonderful thing that could have possibly happened. The crazy thing is that he was the same guy. Like, I didn’t know what to expect because it’s been 25 years,” Momsen remarked.
“When we actually saw each other and hugged and, you know, embraced, it was like this overwhelming, overwhelmingly warm feeling of ‘I know you like that.’ He felt like home to me is what I keep saying, and it’s just the most accurate way to describe it. It was amazing,” the Hansel and Gretel alum recalled.
