Matthew Perry honored by 'Friends' caste in unique way
Matthew Perry left the world mourning on 28th October 2023
The late actor Matthew Perry has been honor by his co-stars from Friends.
Now, two years post the actor's tragic death, his former castmates, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow, have joined forces for a special fundraiser supporting addiction recovery.
The group recently signed limited-edition artwork commissioned by the Matthew Perry Foundation, which was established after Perry's death to help individuals struggling with addiction.
As fans will know, Perry passed away in 2023 at the age of 54 following a ketamine overdose, leaving behind a lasting legacy both on and off screen.
The foundation shared photos of the cast signing the prints via Instagram, revealing details of the collaboration.
"The cast has teamed up with @soundwaves_art and artist Tim Wakefield for a very special collection of artwork this holiday season," the foundation wrote.
According to the post, Wakefield transformed the soundwaves of the iconic Friends theme song into visually striking designs, with each piece inspired by a different character from the beloved sitcom.
Each cast member signed a small, exclusive run of artworks tied to their character.
The foundation also confirmed that, in collaboration with Perry's estate, an extremely limited number of prints have been embossed with Matthew's official signature.
"All profits will be supporting charities chosen by the cast, including the @MatthewPerryFoundation and their work helping those struggling with the disease of addiction," the statement continued.
