'Pushing Daisies' creator spills major update about third sequel
'Pushing Daisies' premiered on ABC in October 2007 and ran for two seasons
Pushing Daisies is returning to TV screens!
Bryan Fuller, the creator of the comedy-drama, confirmed that a new sequel is in the works.
The American writer shared the exciting news during a press tour for his latest film, Dust Bunny.
“Absolutely, we have a season three pitch," Bryan replied to ComicBook when he was asked about the possibility of the comedy-drama returning to TV screens.
He further told the outlet that "the entire cast wants to come back, and we’re hoping we get to return to them."
"We just have to find somebody who wants to make it," added the writer.
For those unversed, Pushing Daisies premiered on ABC network in 2007 and ran for two seasons.
Lee Pace played the lead role in the mystery-fantasy series - a pie maker who can bring the dead back to life.
Alongside Lee, Anna Friel, Kristin Chenoweth, Chi McBride, Swoosie Kurtz, and Ellen Greene starred in the series.
During the same press tour, Bryan told The Mary Sue that “We’re working on a Season 3, and the whole cast wants to come back. And, we’ve got a whole story. We’re trying to do another season this year.”
Both seasons of Pushing Daisies are available to watch on HBO Max.
