Matthew Lillard's son, Ace Lillard, came out in support of his father after Quentin Tarantino called him the "weakest male" actor.
On Sunday, Ace took to his Instagram handle to clap back at Quentin for making demeaning comments about his father.
"To whom it may concern: My dad is a talent, he is a joy, and he will always be my hero on screen and off," Matthew's son began the lengthy note.
He further wrote, "Not only is my dad the kind of creative I strive to be, but he is the kind of decent, humble human I hope to become."
Indirectly criticizing Quentin for his unprovoked attack on his father, Ace penned, "Creatives are supposed to lift each other, and find empathy for those we may have a hard time understanding."
"My dad does his best to embody that," added Ace, who is currently attending Carnegie Mellon University.
Praising his father, Ace wrote he admires the actor's "way of really connecting with people who find refuge in his characters and his art."
“I believe in the power of art and. the power of the artist. Creating is meant to lift us all up and celebrate all of us, not just a select few," continued Matthew's child.
Concluding the heartfelt note, Ace added “I’m so proud of the year my dad has had and the one that is ahead. He is my day one, and I will always be fiercely proud of him.”
Ace's statement came after Quentin labeled Matthew as the worst actor in Hollywood while he appeared at GalaxyCon over the weekend.
For those unversed, Matthew shares Ace with his longtime wife, Heather. The couple is also parents to son Liam and daughter Addison.
