The White House has doubled down on its feud with Sabrina Carpenter, days after the singer condemned officials for using her music in a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) video.
After the original TikTok, a footage of ICE arrests set to the tune of her hit song Juno, was deleted following Carpenter’s backlash, the Trump administration has hit back in a new post.
On Friday, the White House shared an edited Saturday Night Live promo on Instagram, featuring Carpenter and cast member Marcello Hernandez.
The caption on X read, “PSA: If you’re a criminal illegal, you WILL be arrested & deported.”
In the altered clip, Carpenter’s running concert joke about “arresting” attractive fans is manipulated into “I think I need to arrest some for being too illegal,” which then cuts to ICE arrest footage set to a Migos track.
The move marks the second time this week the administration has weaponised her persona or lyrics.
Earlier, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson mocked Carpenter using lines from her songs after the singer denounced the “disgusting” ICE montage.
Carpenter swiftly fired back again, writing, “This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”
