Kate Middleton re-wears favorite designer dress at Heathrow Airport

All eyes were on Kate Middleton when the Princess of Wales arrived at Heathrow Airport to receive Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife, Elke Budenbender on behalf of King Charles on Wednesday.

The future queen accompanied her husband, Prince William, to welcome the foreign guests at the airport.

Eagle-eyed fans noted that Kate Middleton opted for an Alexander McQueen dress for her trip.

While most of the royal fans were convinced that she chose to re-wear the dress, others said she did carry a different handbag.

The Prince and Princess of Wales's motorcade was seen arriving at the airport  before the plane landed.

King Charles is hosting the German president for the historic state visit in Windsor, marking the third major state visit this year.

After a carriage ride through the streets to the castle, Steinmeier is to receive a ceremonial welcome in the castle quadrangle, attended by the King, Camilla, William, and Kate Middleton.

The German president will then be feted with a grand state banquet in the historic royal residence's St George's Hall on Wednesday evening.

On Thursday morning, he will privately lay flowers at the tomb of the late Queen Elizabeth II in the castle's St George's Chapel, before joining the King and Queen for a Big Help Out reception to showcase the impact volunteering can have on communities.
