Emma Roberts gets real about 'dark nights' after becoming a mom
Emma Roberts admitted motherhood changed her 'in every way'
Emma Roberts is opening up about how the challenges that came with being a mother shaped her.
In a recent chat with Harper's Bazaar Spain, the 34-year-old star candidly spoke about how becoming a mom to her son Rhodes has changed her in both personal and professional life.
"Motherhood has given me so much depth in my emotions and understanding, both personally and professionally. Seeing everything through his eyes is beautiful and transforms your perspective on the world," she began.
The Scream Queens star went on to say, "I also find it inspiring for my work. I've had some dark nights postpartum. Using those emotions creatively is interesting."
"My son is about to turn five, and I feel like I'm still discovering who I am, as a person and as a mother. I try to do my best, although I don't always succeed, but I try," The American Horror Story actress added.
It is pertinent to mention that Roberts welcomed Rhodes back in December 2020 with ex Garrett Hedlund. However, after Rhodes's first birthday, Roberts and Hedlund parted their ways.
Now, Roberts is engaged to new partner Cody John.
