Jessica Simpson, Eric Johnson reunite to celebrate Thanksgiving: 'Family first'

Jessica Simpson has reunited with her ex-husband, Eric Johnson, to spend the Thanksgiving holiday together.

In a new interview with TMZ on November 28, the 45-year-old songstress confirmed that Eric was present at her family Thanksgiving celebrations, with whom she shares three kids, Maxwell, 13, Ace, 12, and Birdie, 6.

“We were altogether yesterday over at my mom’s,” Jessica told the publication.

When asked if Eric spent Thanksgiving with her, the Breadcrumbs hitmaker replied, "Of course, that's my kids' father."

"Family first," she added, revealing that "all their grandparents" were also present at the Thanksgiving event. 

Talking about co-parenting with Eric, Jessica said that “No matter what, your kid is half the other person, and [you should] always have respect in what you say around them so they can always have a good perspective on it."

"Unconditional love’s important," she added.

For those unversed, Jessica and Eric called it quits in January after 10 years of marriage.

“Eric and I have been living separately, navigating a painful situation in our marriage,” Jessica told Us Weekly at that time.

“Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family," she added.
