Blake Lively pours cold water on hopes of Taylor Swift reconciliation

Blake Lively hinted at reconciliation with her long-time friend Taylor Swift on October 3, 2025 when she engaged with the singer's Instagram post, for the first time in months.

Their feud started after Taylor was dragged into the Gossip Girl actor's legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

During the last few months, Blake Lively has avoided connecting with Taylor Swift's Instagram posts. She even ignored the singer's announcement of engagement to Travis Kelce.

Notably, the actress on October 3 liked Taylor Swift's Instagram post pertaining to her album "The Life of a Show Girl", sparking speculation of reconciliation between them.

Her social media activity was seen as a thaw in their frosty relationship, with fans expressing hope that Blake Lively might be on the guest list for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding whenever it happens.

However, Ryan Reynolds' wife once again disappointed fans by ignoring Taylor Swift's latest Instagram post featuring the trailer for an upcoming behind-the-scenes docuseries "The End of an Era."

In her lawsuit, Lively accused her It Ends With Us co‑star Baldoni of sexual harassment and waging a smear campaign against her. 

When Baldoni launched a countersuit against Lively, his legal team made allegations that thrust Swift into the spotlight.

Lively was accused by Baldoni's lawyers of having inappropriately leveraged her friendship with Swift during the production of It Ends With Us.

Swift was initially subpoenaed in the case, though Baldoni's team later withdrew this request.

Citing unnamed sources, People.com reported in June that “Swift and Lively aren’t as close and haven’t been spending as much time together as they did in the past.”

An insider told the media outlet earlier this year that “Taylor is working to trust Blake again but it’s going to take some time.”
