Taylor Swift sparks frenzy with secret UK shoot for 'Elizabeth Taylor'

Taylor Swift caused a wave of attention after reports said she flew to the United Kingdom for a secret music video shoot for Elizabeth Taylor.

A source told The Sun that the pop queen felt excited to be back in London and said the new video would show several well known spots around the city.

The source also explained that Swift has often written about her affection for London, which made the location feel meaningful.

The choice of London also carried a clear tribute, as Elizabeth Taylor was born in Hampstead in North London in 1932 and a plaque still marks her childhood home.

She remained one of the most famous faces of classic Hollywood and her style really inspired Swift in the video for Fate of Ophelia, the only video released from her album The Life of a Showgirl.

During the Official Release Party of a Showgirl, the Lover hitmaker shared the ideas behind Elizabeth Taylor.

The Daylight singer said the song explored thoughts about fame, love, attention, public pressure and the fear that success might fade.

Swift further added that she used real parts of the song life but shaped them through emotions she experienced many times herself.

Another moment that drew attention came from NFL star George Kittle, who spoke about meeting the singer at Tight End University.

He said she was even cooler than people imagined and praised how kind she is to his family.

The athlete remembered singing Love Story with her in a Nashville bar and said the moment felt unforgettable.

For the unversed, Taylor also made headlines as her holiday merchandise collections for each of her eras sold out soon after release.
