Miss Jamaica, currently participating in Miss Universe pageant 2025, fell off the ramp during the preliminary evening gown round in Thailand.
The video shared on social media shows Dr Garbrielle Henry in a stunning orange gown walking on the Bangkok stage when she suddenly plummeted off it and was seemingly faceplanted.
The accident stunned the audience, many of whom jumped from their seats to check on the “Jamaican beauty queen”. Staff arrived afterward and Ms Henry was carried away on a stretcher.
The latest updates suggest that Miss Jamaica was rushed to Paolo Rangsit Hospital in Thailand and is in stable condition now. Fortunately, no major injuries or broken bones were reported.
Miss Universe Jamaica organization updated fans, stating, “Medical professionals continue to conduct tests to ensure full recovery.”
They urged fans to keep Ms Henry in prayers and send positive thoughts to uplift her spirits as she receives necessary medical care.
It remains unclear if Miss Jamaica will be able to compete in the 47th annual Miss Universe pageant scheduled for Friday, November 21, 2025.
This year’s pageant has been embroiled in controversies as previously the director passed derogatory remarks aimed at a contestant and had to later apologise after severe backlash.
Two of the eight judges resigned just days before the final, with one of them alleging that a secret-committee had already picked up finalists without any input from the real judges.
