Trump sparks outrage after calling female reporter ‘piggy’ over Epstein question

Many journalists are taking the United States President Donald Trump to the cleaners after his “piggy” remarks aimed at a female White House correspondent.

Bloomberg reporter Catherine Lucey was on board Air Force One with President Trump, when she asked him about the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein saga.

Lucey asked, “If there’s nothing incriminating in the files, then why are you behaving the way you are,” and Trump replied, “Quiet, Quiet, piggy.”

A Bloomberg News spokesperson reacted to the incident, stating, “We remain focused on reporting issues of public interest fairly and accurately,” adding, “Our journalist performed a vital public service and asked questions without fear or favor.”

Several journalists have lashed out at Trump accusing him of shutting women journalists with demeaning language.

CNN anchor Jake Tapper shared the video of the incident on X and wrote, ‘Disgusting and completely unacceptable.”

Gretchen Carlson, former Fox News anchor, slammed Trump calling his remarks, “Disgusting and degrading.”

This is not the first time that journalists have been targeted by the Trump administration with derogatory remarks as previously the White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt used similar kind of language.

She was asked who chose Budapest as the site of the meeting between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin and the press secretary responded, “Your mom did.”

The White House Correspondents’ Association has not yet reacted to the latest incident.
