Prince Harry thrown in new clash as Palace ‘dismisses’ major claims
Prince Harry next target on Palace hit list after Andrew sent packing
Prince Harry’s war with the Firm is no where near its send even as reconciliation with King Charles parallels it.
The Duke of Sussex has shown his devotion towards his home country and the service in recent weeks with heartfelt public essays and his engagements honouring royal tradition.
However, the Palace doesn’t seem to have taken kindly to it as new accusations are hurled back to Montecito.
Earlier this month, as Prince William undertook his five-day visit to Brazil, Harry’s trip to Canada coincided with the exact date of the Earthshot Prize ceremony, an event which had been planned months in advance.
Although, at the time, the Office of the Duke of Sussex had stated that “the Palace” had been informed in advance “as a courtesy”. A report in The Times dismisses the notion noting that no one at Buckingham Palace no Kensington Palace received the memo, sparking doubts whether it was sent in the first place.
For Harry’s visit to Toronto, where he met with the royal regiments in Canada, it seemed that it required certain level of ‘approval’ from the royals.
In a follow-up to clarify that to exactly whom did Montecito send the courtesy to, it did not respond.
The matter of the ‘courtesy’ relates to the ‘secret’ meeting held between King Charles’s and Harry’s aides where the Duke had offered to share his diary engagements to avoid any clashes. Apart from the monarch’s office, the offer was extended to the Prince and Princess of Wales as well.
Prince Harry vs Palace
This is not the first instance of a clash between the Harry and the Palace. The Duke had taken aim at the royal aides accusing them of “sabotaging” their reunion and demanded the “men in grey suits” vehemently to “stay out of it”.
Harry’s team had released a statement stressing that the “relationship between the Duke and His Majesty The King is a matter for the two of them and the two of them only”.
It had come after “royal insiders” had “briefed the press” suggesting that Harry was treated like a guest rather than family during the meeting with the King.
The Palace seemed to have found its opening to finally hit back at the Duke of Sussex.
