Michael Jackson daughter Paris suffers new blow amid legal estate drama
Paris Jackson lands in legal trouble in fight for dad Michael’s estate
Paris Jackson continues to fight for her late father Michael Jackson’s estate, which he left for her family, but the legal battle is anything but smooth sailing.
The 27-year-old musician filed a complaint against her father’s estate for making payments without her knowledge, but a judge recently dismissed most of her complaint.
Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff, in Los Angeles, ruled against Paris, according to the California anti-SLAPP statute, as reported by Page Six.
However, Paris is not accepting defeat and plans to resubmit her appeal with the amendments, as a representative told the outlet, “This order is limited to minor procedural issues and does not change the facts: the pattern of behavior displayed by the executors and their attorneys raises significant red flags, and Paris will continue working to ensure her family is treated fairly. We will be submitting an updated filing shortly.”
The legendary musician’s daughter filed the original appeal in June, in which she alleged that her father’s estate executors had been making “bonus” payments to various law firms without her approval.
However, the executors claimed in their counterargument that no one had benefited more from the payments than Paris, who allegedly received $65 million.
