William, Meghan united in thoughts about Kate, Harry?
Meghan, William's reactions to whispers of Harry and Kate's unbreakable bond laid bare
Prince William and Meghan Markle might be turning a deaf ear to whispers of Prince Harry and Kate Middleton's unbreakable bond, but they are fiercely protective of their spouses, prioritising family unity above all.
It emerges amid rumours that Harry's near fling with his sister-in-law Princess Kate allegedly fuelled his feud with brother William, with a source claiming Meghan was also afraid of their unbreakable bond at the time when she married into the royal family.
Some royal commentators still believe that it was one of the hidden drivers behind the brothers' bitter estrangement, adding that Meghan, of course, did not want to lose the royal at any cost.
Sharing their thoughts and knowledge on the reports of William and Kate's brief split in 2007, former royal staff and palace sources claim the dynamics between Harry and Kate were far deeper than the public realised.
The renewed conversation began after Grant Harrold, former butler to King Charles, shared his knowledge about William and Middleton's 2007 breakup in his book The Royal Butler.
He said about Harry and Middleton: 'They got on so well. I remember, when Prince William and Kate separated – you know, Prince Harry and Kate got on so well that I even thought that maybe Harry and she would get together.'
'They were that close. They were best friends, and I wouldn’t have put it past Harry thinking, ‘Well, she’s a pretty girl, My brother didn’t want her. I’ll have her.’
A source said: "William has always been more guarded, while Kate and Harry clicked instantly. People noticed it – including William. When they split, he knew there was a tiny window where anything could have happened."
Some royal insiders claim Harry and Kate's easy rapport created complications long before his future wife Meghan ever entered the picture.
But after Meghan's entry, the situation turned worse as she was also allegedly dying for all attention and the spotlight, which was solely being attracted by Princess Catherine.
Some sources suggest the future king may have felt uneasy about Kate and Harry's close bond, not necessarily romantic but about loyalty and attention within the royal family, as the bond between Harry and Kate was widely acknowledged.
