Amy Schumer addresses speculation about marriage: 'Chris and I are still married'
Amy Schumer clears Instagram as she and Chris Fischer focus on their marriage
Amy Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, are staying focused on their marriage despite ongoing speculation about their relationship.
A source tells People magazine on Thursday that “They’re privately working through normal issues that couples in long-term marriages have. They are both committed to the relationship.”
Schumer, 44, appeared to subtly address the rumours in an Instagram Story. She posted a photo of New York City and praised Hulu’s new series All’s Fair, ending the caption with, “And Chris and I are still married.”
The comedian and the professional chef, 45, were first linked in November 2017, and by February 2018, they had married in Malibu.
Reflecting on the early stages of their relationship, Schumer joked on Today that “We got down to business really quick,” adding she knew he was “the one” only “like a month in,” despite being friends for months before dating.
The couple welcomed their son, Gene David, in May 2019. Schumer later opened up about her IVF experience on Chelsea Handler’s podcast in 2022, sharing, “we're gonna have just one child and we're just enjoying our little family and I'm just focusing on that.”
Their most recent red carpet appearance together was at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival in June, where they attended the premiere of the documentary Room To Move.
Recently, fans noticed Schumer cleared her Instagram of all previous posts, including photos with Fischer.
She addressed the change with a new post on Tuesday, November 11, writing, “I actually left my house tonight. Who’s proud? I’m feeling good and happy. Deleted my old pics for no reason!”
