Katy Perry, Justin Trudeau achieve major milestone after going official
Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau’s love story heats up with a new couple goal after red carpet debut?
Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau may have hit another milestone in their blossoming relationship after making their red carpet debut as a couple.
According to fans the Fireworks singer and the former Prime Minister of Canada just ticked off another couple goal: getting matching tattoos.
On Tuesday, November 11, the 41-year-old American singer-songwriter shared a carousel on Instagram, documenting the process of getting her brand-new ink, which was a half butterfly on her wrist.
Among other photos and videos, there was a brief clip of the pop star matching her half-butterfly with another wrist that appeared to belong to a man.
Although she didn’t mention anything about getting matching tattoos with her new beau, fans wasted no time in speculating that the mysterious arm belonged to her new boyfriend.
One excited fan gushed in the comments section, "Omg you and Justin got matching tattoos !! That’s actually so cute I love the design [heart eyes emoji]."
Another asked, "Matching tats with Justin?" followed by a third user, "Is the other hand Mr T's hand?"
"Damn! I thought you were getting JT's initials! He's the luckiest man on earth," a fourth user added, meanwhile a fifth chimed in saying, "Who has other tattoo?"
While fans were quick to churn out theories that the new couple in town have taken their relationship to the next level with matching tats, the 13-time Grammy nominee's caption may have hinted at a different story.
She thanked the tattoo artist for "taking care of me and my tour crew today," suggesting that the matching ink might have been done with one of her team members rather than her new beau.
Her new tattoo comes just before her final European performance in Madrid on The Lifetimes Tour.
"Can’t believe it’s already time for The Lifetimes Tour tattoos [butterfly emoji],” Perry wrote alongside the monstage. Tonight we take the infinity stage in Madrid one last time before we wrap up the tour in China, Japan, and Abu Dhabi. Only 8 shows left…"
Since the post, fans have been left guessing, was the matching tattoo a sweet new chapter with Justin, or simply a fun bonding moment with her crew?
