Kevin Federline updates on Britney Spears' relationship with sons

Sean Preston Federline and Jayden James Federline are working to rebuild their relationship with their mom, Britney Spears. 

According to their father, Kevin Federline, the brothers are hopeful about reconnecting with her, even after years of complicated family dynamics.

Kevin opened up during the Nov. 10 episode of Talk Shop Live, sharing that his sons have never stopped caring for their mother. 

“They absolutely love their mom, right? I mean, they always, always have, always will,” he said, adding that he has always encouraged them to have a meaningful relationship with her, just as he has with his own mother.

He believes that speaking openly about Britney and her bond with the boys in his memoir, You Thought You Knew, might help bring everyone closer. 

While many assume the book could make things worse, Kevin said they’ve already tried everything else. 

He explained, “If I have to be the bad guy and everybody has to hate me, well, so be it. I’ll do that for my kids to be able to have a relationship with their mother.”

Kevin, who was married to Britney from 2004 to 2007, said the release of his book has sparked new communication. 

Although he hasn’t spoken with Britney directly, he shared that “she’s talked to our sons, which is good.”

He remains cautiously optimistic, expressing that he wants the situation to move in a positive direction. 

“I’m really hoping that through all of this, through all this turmoil, that there’s light at the end of the tunnel,” he said. “I see it, but it’s gonna be a difficult road and it’s gonna take time.”

In the memoir, Kevin accuses Britney of battling drug use and acting unpredictably around their sons due to mental health issues. 

Britney has denied the claims, calling them “white lies.” Despite the tension, Kevin says the boys are still committed to repairing their bond with their mother and taking careful steps toward a healthier future together.
