Prince Harry reveals whether Archie and Lili know about his 'background'
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the US with baby Archie after stepping down from royal life in 2020
Prince Harry has revealed whether his and Meghan Markle’s children know about the roots of their charitable work.
The Duke of Sussex appeared on the latest episode of the Hasan Minhaj Doesn't Know podcast on October 29, where he talked about the harms of social media on kids, teens, and particularly men — an issue that he and his wife Meghan Markle are passionate about and tackle through their Parents’ Network program.
During a rapid-fire round, Hasan asked Harry what his kids — Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4 — thinks he does for work.
“Uh, that’s a good question. What do they think I do?” Harry, 44, pondered for a while, before adding, “You know, they know that we help other people, but they don’t know the background…”
“When daddy’s on a call,” began Hasan as Harry chimed in, ““All they’re interested in is saying hi to the people on the call. Or they’re fascinated to see other people, they love seeing familiar faces. But they will run in… they just barge in and jump on the phone, like, ‘Hi guys!’”
Prince Harry, the youngest son of King Charles III, stopped down from his royal duties in 2020 and moved to the US with Meghan. Archie was only one year old at the time, while Lili would be born a year later.
Since then, the Duke has been involved in various works, some new — such as his work for men’s mental health and — and some old — like the Invictus Games he founded in 2014 for wounded veterans.
In 2020, Harry and Meghan founded the Archewell Foundation, which even has a production house. The Duke and Duchess’ joint ventures have also included partnership with Netflix.
The young Sussex siblings have also taken an interest in their mom’s work, having visited the set of her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan (Season 2), released in August. The Duchess of Sussex recently shared pictures of Archie with a clapperboard, Lili in a director’s chair, and more shenanigans during filming in November last year.
