Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spark argument on 'Nobody Wants This'
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were name-dropped on season 2 of the hit Netflix romcom
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just made a surprise cameo in Nobody Wants This Season 2 —sort of.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were unexpectedly name-dropped in the new season of Netflix’s hit romcom starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, during a heated argument between two sisters.
As People magazine reports, Bell’s character Joanne and her sister Morgan (played by Justine Lupe) get into a tense exchange over Morgan’s romantic life when Joanne snaps, “Am I supposed to believe everything you say? According to you, you could have been Meghan Markle.”
Morgan fires back, “I said I saw Prince Harry at a bar and there was a vibe, okay? And there was a vibe!”
Lupe, 36, opened up to People about her character’s emotional journey this season, explaining that Morgan “is in crisis” and “not feeling very secure within herself.”
She added, “I think the whole season is Morgan… just kind of hanging on to flag poles along the way, being in the middle of a storm, just being like, ‘Help me. Help me. Help me.’”
While Morgan pretends she’s “fine and in love” with her therapist-turned-boyfriend Dr. Andy (Arian Moayed), Lupe noted that deep down, her character feels left behind. “She wants so badly to not be left behind and find her own fairytale,” she said.
The cheeky Sussex reference comes as Meghan and Harry continue their partnership with Netflix under their Archewell Productions banner, with a holiday special of With Love, Meghan up next.
