Royal family issues update on Princess Anne after Andrew's removal from Windsor
Buckingham Palace issues statement as Prince Andrew receives another blow
Buckingham Palace shared an update on King Charles III's only sister Princess Anne amid reports of fresh blow to Prince Andrew as his banner was removed from Windsor Castle.
King Charles III's office released delightful photos of Princess Anne on the royal family's official Instagram account, giving fans details about her visit to Surbiton, where she mingled with residents of the Royal Star & Garter.
It was her first visit to the town since succeeding her late mother Queen Elizabeth II as Patron of the charity.
The Palace states: "The Princess Royal has spent time with residents of the Royal Star & Garter, where loving, compassionate care and support is given to veterans and their families, living with disability or dementia."
The statement continued: "This marks Her Royal Highness’s first visit since succeeding Queen Elizabeth II as Patron, who held the role from 1953 until 2022."
The post attracted massive praise as fans dropped their likes in the comments section, with one writing: "The Princess Royal is such an amazing woman. She’s so hardworking and dedicated!"
Another wrote: "What a wonderful and gorgeous lady!"
The statement comes amid reports that Prince Andrew’s royal banner has been removed from its longtime place inside St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
The sister of King Charles was seen visiting the British Racing School and Newmarket Pony Academy in Suffolk, and also dropped in at a Save the Children shop in Whitby in Yorkshire this week.
As a skilled equestrian of over 50 years, who competed in the 1976 Olympics, Princess Anne takes after her late mother, The Queen, with her love of horses.
Meanwhile, she has been a patron of Save the Children, the charity that provides humanitarian aid and advocates for children's rights all around the world, since 2017, and before that, she was the president from 1970.
