Taylor Swift eager to bring her love story with Travis Kelce to big screen
American pop singer Taylor Swift takes inspiration from her romance with NFL star
Taylor Swift is eager to bring her love story to the big screen, according to insiders.
The Opalite crooner is trying to create a movie that is inspired by her relationship with fiancé Travis Kelce just like she did with her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.
Interestingly, the project, which will be a modern take on Romeo & Juliet, details are kept under wraps.
“Her relationship with Travis has fueled a lot of her recent work, but what fans have seen so far is only a fraction of it,” said an insider.
The source revealed that Taylor has been secretly writing short stories and screenplays, and “one of them is inspired by their relationship”.
“Taylor has talked about using Baz Luhrmann's Romeo & Juliet as her creative guide,” remarked an insider.
Another source told Radar Online that the script will take “plenty of cues from the singer’s relationship with Travis – it won't be a biopic, but her real life will definitely shape it”.
However, an insider noted that Taylor is trying to keep everything “strictly confidential until it's all complete and ready for production.
It is pertinent to mention that Taylor’s romance with NFL star has already been the subject of her latest creative output for big screen.
“Taylor is always guarded with her creative work, but this project has an added layer of secrecy because it's unfamiliar territory for her. She's meticulous by nature – writing songs comes instinctively to her, but screenwriting is a whole new craft,” explained an insider.
While speaking of its release date, the Cruel Summer singer has not disclosed the details of her project mainly because she wants it to be flawless before she shares it with the world.
“Once she's satisfied, she'll dive in fully, and she's already considering taking a role herself,” mentioned an insider.
Meanwhile, Taylor has already made her acting debut in CSI in 2009 and as far as Travis is concerned, it’s still uncertain.
“They both know the risks of mixing work and personal life. But Taylor doesn't do things halfway,” concluded an insider.
