Buckingham Palace shares King Charles first message after Andrew exit
King Charles beams in new video as he promotes meaningful cause with special guest
Buckingham Palace released King Charles' first video message after Prince Andrew finally bid farewell to royal life.
On October 20, a delightful video of a beaming monarch was shared on the royal family's social media channels, featuring a special guest.
According to the details, the King recorded a meaningful podcast with Hollywood star Cate Blanchett, who is an ambassador for Wakehurst, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Millennium Seed Bank at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
Dr Elinor Breman, Senior Research Leader, was also part of the discussion.
The statement reads, "The Millennium Seed Bank, created by Kew, is the world’s largest underground seed bank and conservation resource for diverse wild plant species. Created in 2000, it is now home to over 2.5 billion seeds, ensuring they are safeguarded against extinction."
King Charles has been serving in the role of Patron of Kew since 2016 and has been quite vocal about creating a sustainable future for the coming generations.
"The King officially opened the Millennium Seed Bank in 2000, as Prince of Wales, and most recently visited in 2019," the monarch's team member shared.
At the end of the message, Palace's spokesperson said that the podcast, Unearthed: The need for seeds, is available now on different streaming platforms.
It is important to mention that King Charles emerged on social media after Prince Andrew announced that he will no longer use the title, the Duke of York, and honours, following his email to Jeffrey Epstein leaked in the media.
