Prince Harry’s DC no show rumours swirl as he and Meghan 'want different things'
Meghan Markle shares sweet moment with Prince Harry at Mental Health Gala
All eyes are on Washington, DC this week but whether Prince Harry will join Meghan Markle there remains uncertain.
The Duchess of Sussex is confirmed to speak at Fortune magazine’s prestigious Most Powerful Women summit on Tuesday, yet sources claim her husband has not committed to attending the event.
An insider told the Mail that tension may be playing a role behind the scenes, saying, “They want different things and there are times when it is really not great. I mean, really not great at all.”
The uncertainty follows a string of solo outings for the couple in New York City, where they were spotted leaving separate restaurants on Saturday evening after making several joint appearances earlier in the week.
Their whirlwind trip to New York City may have sparked speculation about tension but Meghan’s latest post suggests all is well between the royal couple.
The Sussexes’ visit to the Big Apple centred on their attendance at the Project Healthy Minds Gala, where both were honoured as Humanitarians of the Year for their advocacy work on mental health.
Just a day later, Meghan took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes video from their appearance at the World Mental Health Day Gala.
The clip captured a light hearted moment backstage, showing her laughing as Prince Harry reviewed documents beside a lamp.
“Happy World Mental Health Day,” she captioned the post, adding a touching personal note: “…to the man who always keeps me laughing.”
The sweet video arrived shortly after the couple’s red carpet appearance at Thursday’s gala drew attention for what some described as slightly awkward body language with Harry appearing to hurry Meghan along for photos and later stepping away to chat with another guest.
But Meghan’s affectionate post appears to put any rumours to rest, showing that behind the flashbulbs and public scrutiny, the couple remains very much in sync.
