Buckingham Palace makes sweet move for Princess Charlotte in key tradition

King Charles, who famously wished to have a daughter of his own, had a special dedication made for his beloved granddaughter Princess Charlotte during a key event at Buckingham Palace.

The 10-year-old daughter of Prince William and Kate Middleton was honoured as she had shown a particular interest in hit movie and it was highlighted in a near 365-year-old royal tradition.

In a letter sent by Kensington Palace, the Prince and Princess of Wales revealed that that Charlotte “loves” the recently-released movie, K-Pop Demon Hunters. Last month, the hit song from the movie, Golden, was played during the ‘Changing of the Guards’.

The letter was a response to six-year-old Ivy Brown who had written to the young princess and show her support. Ivy had asked if she had seen the popular Netflix animated film.

William and Kate via the Head of Royal Correspondence said “thank you” to Ivy for her “lovely letter” sent to Charlotte.

“It was interesting to learn a little about yourself and your generous words of support for Princess Charlotte were greatly appreciated,” it read. “You may be interested to know that ‘Golden’ from K-Pop Demon Hunters has been played during Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace.”

They continued, “It was most thoughtful of you to take the trouble to write as you did. Their Royal Highnesses would have me send their warmest thanks and very best wishes to you and to your family.”

In a report by The Sun, Ivy’s mum, Louise, shared that the young girl was “ecstatic”. Ivy revealed that she brought the letter to school for show-and-tell and has kept it “safe” in the kitchen drawer.

King Charles has earned the reputation of a doting grandfather in the past years as details of his bond with his grandchildren are revealed. Hence, it comes as no surprise that a sweet gesture for made for his granddaughter.
